Common faults of screw air compressor accessories

Many users of screw air compressors will inevitably encounter some large and small faults in the long-term use process; among these faults, the most likely user encounters are the faults of the air compressor accessories. It is the general equipment personnel, and because of professional problems, the cause of the failure may not be found.
 
This time, we will analyze the common faults of screw air compressor accessories and how to maintain them.

1. The oil filter is blocked
The rotor outlet temperature rises;
Reduced oil life.
Recommended maintenance method:
(1) The normal oil filter differential pressure gauge is within 1 kg. If it exceeds, it means that the oil filter is blocked. The inspection method is: measure the oil temperature of the inlet oil cooler and the oil temperature of the outlet cooler. If the temperature difference is too large, it means that the oil filter is blocked. The oil filter is clogged and replacement is recommended.
(2) The oil temperature is often too high, which will lead to faster oil quality cracking (normal working temperature is 75-95°C).

2. The oil and gas separator is blocked
Oil tank pressure rises
The outlet pressure is reduced
Motor current rises
Cause the air compressor to trip
Causes safety valve exhaust injection
The oil and gas separator will be damaged due to excessive pressure, resulting in the loss of cooling oil.

Recommended maintenance method:
Replace the oil and gas separator (normal pressure difference: within 0.8kg)

3. Oil cooler heat sink blockage
The rotor outlet temperature rises, causing the machine to trip.
The main motor trips due to overload caused by high temperature.
The fan motor trips due to overload due to excessive negative pressure.

Recommended maintenance method:
Remove the cooler for cleaning and maintenance.

4. Poor ventilation and heat dissipation in the air compressor station
The rotor outlet temperature rises, causing high temperature tripping.
The motor is overloaded.
The fan motor is overloaded.
The increase in the air outlet temperature causes the load of the refrigerating machine to increase.

Recommended maintenance method:
The air compressor is equipped with an air duct and an exhaust system to increase indoor and outdoor air circulation.

5. Transmission belt breakage
The machine cannot be loaded after starting.
During operation, the pressure of the oil tank will drop to 0kg, and the output pressure will be stopped.

Recommended maintenance method:
Check the cause of the belt breakage. If it is normal wear and tear, install a new belt. If it is other reasons, replace it with a new belt after maintenance according to the situation.

6. The intake valve cannot be closed
It will cause the pressure of the air compressor to continue to rise after the air compressor is empty, resulting in the exhaust of the safety valve.
When the car is empty, the pressure of the oil tank rises.
The cooling oil is poured out from the air inlet when the vehicle is stopped.

  Recommended maintenance method:
 Remove the intake valve for maintenance, and replace it with a new one if it is damaged.

7, the starter connection point is in poor contact
The working current of the motor increases and causes the motor to overload.
The starter is hot and fails.
The fuse is blown.

  Recommended maintenance method:
Remove the starter for maintenance, and replace it with a new one if it is damaged.

8. The external power supply voltage of the air compressor is too low, too high or three-phase unbalanced
When the supply voltage is too low, the air compressor motor will be overloaded.
If the supply voltage is too high, the motor resistance will be reduced and it will be burned.
Three-phase unbalance of supply voltage will cause motor overload.

  Recommended maintenance method:
Detect the power supply voltage of the incoming line of the air compressor, find the cause and solve it, and add a three-phase electric voltage stabilizer to stabilize the voltage.
