Proper maintenance of the Ingersoll Rand air compressor oil seal lubricant is a prerequisite for ensuring a satisfactory service life of the oil and gas separation core. In general, the service life of the oil-and-gas separation core is limited only by the solid particle deposits (oil oxides, worn particles, etc.) on the fine separation layer, resulting in an increase in the pressure difference. Contaminants in the lubricant can be reduced by replacing the air filter, the oil filter, and the oil replacement cycle. In this way, the dirt entering the oil separation core can be kept small, which is beneficial to prolong the maintenance and maintenance cycle. The selection of oil has a very large relationship to the service life of the oil and gas separation core. Use only approved, anti-aging and water-insensitive lubricants. Lubricating oils with poor oxidation resistance are not suitable. Even if the working time is short, a thick precipitate similar to jelly is produced, which blocks the oil separation core. Higher operating temperatures accelerate the aging of the lubricating oil, so it is also necessary to pay sufficient attention to the cooling air volume and the dirt of the cooler. When changing the oil, the used oil must be completely drained to avoid contamination of the new oil or incompatibility between the new and old oil. In rare cases, premature aging of lubricating oil can occur due to impurities in the ambient air.

Ingersoll Rand air compressor fuel consumption
Some operating conditions and critical conditions that affect the oil level of the air compressor storage tank, such as the volatilization process of the oil, the effects of the pre-separation and the oil return system, can result in increased fuel consumption for a short period of time or longer. For example, blockage of the return line can cause the separated oil to accumulate at the dry end of the oil separation core. The magnitude of the oil accumulation is related to the amount of oil that has accumulated. Excessive oil level in the oil storage tank will have similar consequences. If the oil or gas is temporarily or permanently unable to form a significant isolation zone, it will damage the pre-fractionation of the oil droplet separation effect and increase the air downstream of the oil separation core. Residual oil rate. When the oil temperature is low or the lubricant is evaporated slowly, excessive oiling will also cause a large amount of oil foam to pass through the oil separation core. The oil separation core will inevitably increase the fuel consumption. At normal operating temperatures of 800C, some models or grades of oil can have a soot content of up to 10 mg/m3.
