With the arrival of hot weather, air compressors are used in summer. For air compressor users in most factories, high temperature has always been one of the main problems that plagued major users. The high temperature of the air compressor is affected by many factors. According to the high temperature of the air compressor, the reasons for the high temperature of the air compressor are summarized:

1. The air compressor system is short of oil

Check the oil level of the oil and gas drum through the oil mirror. After the shutdown and pressure relief, when the lubricating oil is static, the oil level should be slightly higher than the high oil level mark. During the operation of the equipment, the oil level cannot be lower than the low oil level mark. If you find that the amount of oil is insufficient, stop immediately to refuel.

2.The oil filter failure

If the oil filter is blocked, the bypass valve cannot be opened, which will cause the air compressor oil to not reach the machine head, and the main engine will heat up rapidly due to lack of oil. The blockage of the oil filter causes the flow to become smaller, and the air compressor is not completely taken away because of the heat, so the temperature slowly rises to form a high temperature; after the air compressor is unloaded, the air compressor is high temperature, because the internal oil pressure of the air compressor is high when it is loaded, The air compressor oil can pass through, but after the air compressor is unloaded, the air compressor oil pressure is low, and it is difficult for the air compressor oil to pass through the air compressor oil filter, and the flow rate is too small, resulting in high temperature of the air compressor. 

3. The oil and gas separator is blocked

The blockage of the oil and gas separator will cause the internal pressure to rise. Too high pressure will cause many problems, and high temperature is one of them. 

4. The air filter is blocked

The blockage of the air filter will cause the air compressor to be overloaded, and it will be in a loaded state for a long time, causing high temperature. Generally, the first problem caused by the blockage of the air filter is the reduction of gas production, followed by the high temperature performance.

5. Oil problem

The selected lubricating oil is of poor quality and is not used in accordance with the specifications. If the lubricating oil exceeds the service time, the oil product will deteriorate; the fluidity of the lubricating oil will deteriorate, and the heat exchange performance will decrease, resulting in that the heat of the air compressor head cannot be completely taken away, resulting in high temperature of the air compressor.
 
6. Oil cooler failure

Check whether the difference between the inlet and outlet oil temperature is about 10 °C, if it is less than this value, check whether the surface of the radiator is blocked. If it is dirty, clean the surface dust with clean compressed air. If the internal pipe is blocked, it can be cleaned with special liquid.
 
7. Oil cut-off valve failure

The oil shut-off valve of the air compressor is generally a two-position, two normally closed solenoid valve, which is opened when the machine is started and closed when it is stopped, so as to prevent the oil in the oil and gas barrel from continuing to be sprayed into the machine head and ejected from the air inlet when the machine is stopped. If the element is not turned on when loaded, the main engine will heat up rapidly due to lack of oil, and in severe cases, the screw assembly will be burned.
 
8. Temperature control valve failure

The temperature control valve is installed in front of the oil cooler, and its function is to maintain the exhaust temperature of the machine head above the pressure dew point. If the temperature control valve fails, the lubricating oil may directly enter the machine head without passing through the cooler, so that the oil temperature cannot be lowered, resulting in over-temperature.

9. Head problem

The bearing of the screw air compressor head is generally required to be replaced at 20000h, because the clearance and balance of the air compressor are all positioned by the bearing. If the wear of the bearing increases, the heat production of the air compressor head will increase. cause high temperature in the air compressor. 

10. Is the pressure too high?

The pressure of the air compressor system is generally adjusted at the factory. If adjustment is required, the rated pressure on the nameplate shall prevail. If the adjustment is too high, the over-temperature phenomenon will be caused due to the increase in the load of the unit.
 
11. Cooling fan failure

There is a problem with the cooling fan of the air compressor, the fan does not rotate, the fan is reversed, only one of the two fans is turned on, etc.
