Why does the air compressor main engine need to be overhauled?

As the air compressor equipment has been used for a certain number of years, various internal small problems have begun to surface, and the main engine will be overhauled in time to systematically solve the internal safety hazards, which will effectively reduce the subsequent maintenance costs and ensure the good operation of the air compressor. 1. The gap increases. The increase in the distance between the male and female rotors of the core components of the main engine will increase the leakage during compression and reduce the compression efficiency of the equipment. In addition, the expansion of the gap between the male and female rotor and the rear end cover and the bearing will mainly affect the sealing performance and compression efficiency of the compressor. At the same time, it will also have a great impact on the service life of the female and male rotor.

2. Increased wear. Under normal circumstances, machine operation will inevitably bring about wear. Under normal circumstances, due to lubricating fluid lubrication, wear will be reduced a lot, but long-term high-speed operation will expand the degree of wear and cause wear and damage to other main components.

3. The parts are deformed. As the core compression component of the compressor, the internal components of the compressor main body are in a high-temperature and high-pressure environment for a long time, coupled with high-speed operation, will inevitably cause deformation over time. At the same time, dust and impurities gradually accumulate in the machine. After long-term operation, it may cause deformation of the Yin and Yang rotors and increase the gap. In severe cases, the host may be stuck.

4. The parts are damaged. The main vulnerable parts of the compressor are mainly: various gaskets, sealing rings, shaft oil seals, etc. The shaft oil seal has been exposed to high temperature, high pressure and high-speed operation for a long time, which greatly shortens its service life. Once damaged, it will cause the compressor If oil leakage is not found in time, it is very likely that the Yin and Yang rotors and bearings will be burned due to lack of lubrication.

5. Cost increase. If the compressor has not been overhauled for a long time, a large amount of impurities caused by wear will remain inside the equipment, resulting in:

a. Shorten the service life of lubricating fluid;
b. Shorten the service life of oil filter element and air filter element;
c. Increase friction, reduce compression efficiency, and increase power costs.
